The only authorized online source to obtain a free credit report under federal law. You can get a free report from each of the three national reporting companies, Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, every 12 months. Other sites may offer free credit reports, but they may charge you for another product if you accept a free report.  (They share data, so if you call one, the other two will be notified).
